The Alanis Guitar
A personal world of keepsakes, botanicals and moon phases, brought onstage for the 2024 Triple Moon Tour.
Created for Alanis Morissette and played on her 2024 Triple Moon Tour, this one-of-one guitar holds a collection of objects with personal meaning. Alanis supplied crystals, feathers, sage, flowers and mushrooms, alongside a crystal wand from Souleye and an Orgonite crystal from Lite the Light. Three lockets hold photographs of her children.
At her request, AV also sourced a Guanyin statue, a Buddha Orgonite crystal, orchids, lilies and lavender. Allysha designed the headstock and moon-phase inlays, with GV Custom Instruments bringing the neck and inlay work to life. Louie Grosso assisted with fabrication.
Materials & Details
Roasted flame maple neck with an Indian rosewood fretboard and custom mother-of-pearl moon-phase inlays, selected by Alanis from ten designs. Built with GV Custom Instruments: 25.5-inch scale, 22 medium frets, 9.5-inch radius, spoke-wheel truss rod and Gotoh locking tuners.

The Billy Strings Guitar
A custom electric guitar inspired by the flowers from Billy Strings' wedding. This custom electric guitar for Billy Strings brings a personal milestone into the instrument itself. Its flowers were chosen to match those from his wedding: butterfly ranunculus, foxglove, hellebore, Rosanne Brown lisianthus, Queen Lime zinnia and spirea.
A custom inlay at the 12th fret marks Billy's wedding date. GV Custom Instruments crafted the roasted flame maple neck with an ebony fretboard, and Louie Grosso assisted with fabrication. The project was coordinated with Billy's guitar tech Tobe Bean and business manager and wedding planner Sameen.
Materials & Details
Roasted flame maple neck, ebony fretboard and a custom wedding-date inlay at the 12th fret. Lollar Gold Foil Soapbar pickups, Grover "milk bottle" style Rotomatics and a Schaller roller bridge complete the build.
